Commitment & Attendance
Participants are required to make the full commitment, as the program is progressive and depends on weekly development. Participants are expected to perform at Festival Ha’Rikud 2011.

Youth Israeli Folk Dance Group
Open to committed and trained dancers in grades 7 to young adult
JCCGV Or Chadash Audition

• Feature performances at major community events such as Yom Ha’atzmaut, Chutzpah! Festival, multicultural events
• Interchange with our P2K region
in Etzbah Ha Galil
• Professional development with choreographers
• Travel to Festivals in Miami or Israel
Trip to Israel
JCCGV Or Chadash traveled to Israel last summer to reunite with Hora Goel from our Partnership 2000 region in the Galilee Panhandle. Or Chadash spent one week in Kiryat Shemona and Karmiel Festival working and performing with Hora Goel. This trip was made possible by a generous grant from the Jewish Federation of Greater Vancouver's Partnership 2000 Living Bridge Project.

Hora
Goel is based in the Arthur and Ancie Fouks Community Centre in Kiryat
Shemona. Or Chadash was formed in September 2005 as a direct result
of the visit and of our Jewish Community Centre's Festival Ha'Rikud,Or
Chadash has grown into a vibrant group of 20 teens.
JCCGV Or Chadash
has set as its goal to be the local youth ambassadors of Jewish and
Israeli culture through dance. Or Chadash has performed at numerous
community and multicultural events such as Yom Ha'Atzmaut Community
Celebration, PNE and Louis Brier Home and Hospital.
Open to committed
and trained dancers from grades 8 to 12. JCCGV Or Chadash will perform
at Festivals in Miami, New York and Mexico, Chutzpah! Festival and will
be featured in JCCGV Festival Ha'Rikud.
