BAGEL CLUB DROP-IN SOCIAL CLUB
A social club for for adults with special needs that focuses on Jewish heritage and education. We offer social and recreational activities including movies, arts & crafts, outings, Israeli dancing, music appreciation, yoga and much more. Join us to meet old friends and make new ones, celebrate Jewish holidays, and more.

COMMUNITY KITCHEN
This program focuses on creating a delicious and nutritional kosher style meal. Participants follow recipes and cook together which creates a unique learning and social experience. Extra food and recipes are available for participants to take home. Dishes include traditional Jewish, Israeli and various culturally themed meals.

JEWISH PROGRAMMING at Yaffa Dunbar supported housing
JCC, in conjunction with Jewish Federation, Yaffa Housing Society and Coast Mental Health, is happy to announce the beginning of new Jewish programming at the Yaffa Dunbar supported housing.

We had our first event in October to celebrate the Rosh Hashanah and Succot holidays.  Bagel Club Catering provided the meal for the event while employing 10 individuals with diverse needs. Rabbi Infeld of Beth Israel was there to provide the information about the High Holidays and answer the group's questions.  This was the first of 4 events that are planned to take place at Yaffa Dunbar site. 
These events are open to all the 50 tenants of Dunbar housing as well as all Yaffa Housing clients and JCC's Bagel Club members.

This is an important program that enables individuals in supported housing, at Dunbar, Yaffa and wherever they live in Vancouver, to keep their Jewish traditions alive and celebrate them in their homes.

HOW YOU CAN HELP
The Special Need programming at the JCC is offered free of charge. However, donations of money or kosher food items are needed and greatly appreciated. There is also a great need for volunteers. Please contact Anat Toledano for more.
