WELCOME TO THE 2012-2013 SEASON

The Dena Wosk School of Performing Arts at the JCC is pleased to welcome you to a new season of  dance, theatre and music!  We are here to help your child or yourself find the right way to express the inner artist, who dwells in each of us. We provide a stage  for self-expression and creativity. At the same time, we teach the technique, the discipline, and the deep appreciation and respect for the arts. Our goal is to ensure that students gain self-confidence and self-discipline, while experiencing growth and developing through the performing arts.

Continuing this season, we are working on  strengthening the technical level of our dance classes and thus create a higher level of commitment and excellence in the dance department. We are also expanding the Acro program, creating classes in various levels.

Our teaching faculty are professional performers, as well as experienced and accomplished teachers. They are here to encourage creative growth, to teach the skills and techniques of their arts, to challenge the students into exploring their artistic potential.

The JCC offers superb facilities, plenty of on-site parking and a great café, Nava’s. The Dena Wosk School of Performing Arts uses a variety of spaces at the JCC, including the Norman Rothstein Theatre, the two Dance Studios, the Wosk Auditorium, the newly created studios in rooms 102 and 103 and many other instructional rooms.

Performances & dress rehearsal are considered part of the total number of classes offered.

Costume fees
All Performing classes: $50+HST
Jazz Advanced students: $90+HST (2-3 costumes) Company students: $120+HST (3-4 costumes). This fee is due in full at the time of registration.

Payment for 2 tickets to the Year-End Show will be due at registration ($15+HST ea.) Additional tickets will be sold 1 month before the shows.

 Please note new guidelines to help ensure the safety of your child:
Children under 12 should not be left unsupervised before or after programs. The JCCGV is not responsible for children left unattended before programs start or after they have finished. Parents/guardians are responsible for supervising their children.
