Musical Theatre Summer Camp
Entering Grades 3 – 7
Aug. 18–29 Mon-Fri 9:00–3:30 pm
Members: $400 Non-members: $480 #7900 To Register
Participants will spend the day singing, acting and dancing under the direction of our professional staff, who are all performers as well as instructors. Campers will receive theater training and hands-on experience in putting on a show of their own: sets, costumes, stage managing, everything… and we throw in some swimming for the fun of it! At the end of this 10 day program campers will perform a short musical theatre show, created for them during the session. Families and friends are invited!
A "fun and focus" camp and also an excellent preparation for next year's "Gotta Sing! Gotta Dance!" auditions.

They're out there and they've been waiting for this program. Vancouver is home to a large number of teens with a genuine interest in storytelling through film. Moving images are their most compelling and familiar medium, just as literature was for the generation of their parents. They want to tell stories, stories about youth, justice, history, ethnicity, funny stories, sad stories.
EVERYONE GETS TO TELL THEIR STORY!
The program will be taught by industry professionals (Cathy Moss and Eli Gorn) with the help of young interns. The 2-week session will be open to 16 teens ages 13 -17 who will work together in small teams. Everyone will get the opportunity to participate in all facets of the production process and work on the professional equipment made available by the program. The camp's schedule will mirror the real writing, directing, production and editing schedule of a film. Family and friends are invited to view the participant's films on the last evening of the camp.

Best Short films produced at our camp will be screened at next year's Vancouver Jewish Film Festival.
