School Director

Dana is an arts administrator and musicologist with extensive international experience in arts management and education. Before becoming Director of the Dena Wosk School of Performing Arts in 1999, she worked for the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and the Tel-Aviv University. She is also a freelance writer, specializing in arts and culture.


Jana began dancing at the age of 5 and has enjoyed a career spanning film, TV and stage. She has danced alongside Michael Buble, model Carmen Electra and taught Amanda Seyfried her dance moves for the film "Red Riding Hood". She has danced in various TV commercials and on the USA Network TV show "Psych" and  "The Good Bye Girl". Jana has also enjoyed performing at Tokyo Disneyland, and touring with the Canadian Concert Military Show Tour throughout Canada, Israel, Egypt and Afghanistan. Jana loves teaching and is vlooking forward to another great year.

Ballet, Jazz

Catherine is a dance educator with a BFA in Contemporary Dance from SFU, and a
Dance Diploma from Grant MacEwan College. A dancer with a strong classical and jazz background, she has been awarded numerous scholarships. Catherine has danced professionally with companies such as Mascall Dance, UpBustle Dance Theatre, and sirenscrossing UK. Catherine has performed across Canada, the US and Europe.

Tap, Jazz​

Mariela Shuley has been dancing since the age of 3 and has studied in many different disciplines, including tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical and hip hop, as well as voice. Recently, she graduated from Capilano’s Musical Theatre Program, where she learned from some amazing instructors, and is currently pursuing further opportunities in the arts.


Anna recently graduated from the School for the Contemporary Arts at SFU with a BFA in Dance. Growing up, she trained  as a competitive dancer in jazz, ballet, tap, lyrical, pointe and hip hop. She currently is the Co-Producer of Inspire Dance TV and a contemporary dance instructor at several studios. Her performance repertoire includes working with Crystal Pite, Gioconda Barbuto, and Amber Funk Barton.

Acro, Jazz

Once a student in the Dena Wosk School of Performing Arts, Jared is ecstatic to have made a full cycle and be teaching here. Jared studied at Cirque Du Soleil’s headquarters performing arts and acrobatic training program in Montreal. He toured with Cirque Du Soleil’s remount of “OVO”as a tumbler, dancer and actor. In addition to competing for the Canada National Tumbling Team and performing on the international stage, Jared trains in technical and urban dance.

Jazz, Hip Hop

Erica  is a sought-after dancer and instructor. She started her training at the age of 3, and went on to direct the University of Victoria Dance Company. While completing her B.A. in Human and Social Development, she founded The Industry Dance Co and created ‘Therapy In Motion’, a dance program for people with special needs. Highlights of her dance career include: BC Lions’ ‘Felions’ dance team, The Canadian Video Game Awards, SVS Style Dance Crew, featured choreographer for BC Children’s Hospital ‘For Children We Care’.

Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop

Mikayla grew up as a competitive dancer  and has danced for many large scale events: 2010 Paralympic Opening Ceremony, 2012 Greycup halftime show, and other BC Lions  shows. She is currently  working towards a Kinesiology degree. ​She loves sharing her passion for dance with her students.​

Musical Theatre

Lindsay is a professional actor, singer, musician and dancer based in Vancouver. She holds a B​.A. of Performing Arts from Capilano University and has been working for companies such as Arts Club, Gateway and Theatre Under the Stars for the past 6 years. She was last seen as The Tin Man in Gateway Theatre’s The Wizard of Oz.​ Lindsay is excited to join our team starting with the Summer Musical Theatre Camp!

Belly Dance

Rahel has been dancing professionally since 2003 and teaching since 2008. An award-winning choreographer, she has performed with Bif Naked, Nickodemus, Shantel and Tambura Rasa, and appeared in TV series. She is the founder of the Helwa Dancers Troupe, and has hosted her own belly dance showcase, “Ya Helwa.” Rahel’s greatest joy is empowering women and connecting them to their bodies through this beautiful, Middle Eastern art form

Ballroom Dance

Dmitry Rusak has 30 years of experience as a dancer and 15 years as a dance instructor and choreographer. He founded Ballroom4You in Vancouver, which offers beginners group classes in energetic Latin and elegant Ballroom, specifically teaching Waltz, Cha-Cha-Cha, Tango and Jive, Rumba, Quickstep and Salsa.  Dmitry won 3rd place at the World Ballroom Dance championship and was 5-time Israel Champion. He also works with wheelchair dancers as their teacher and able-body partner.
