Introducing Jewish Life in Conversation

The JCC is pleased to launch Jewish Life in Conversation, a new series bringing people together through art, culture, and meaningful dialogue on issues that matter.

Bringing Young Voices Together Through Theatre

Friday, October 30 | Norman Rothstein Theatre

Our inaugural event brought together teens from three Vancouver high schools for a unique theatre workshop led by two award-winning musical theatre creators from New York City, with Broadway and Off-Broadway experience.

The artists are in Vancouver developing Third Temple, a new musical scheduled to premiere at the 2027 Chutzpah! Festival.

Designed specifically for youth, the workshop created an opportunity for students from different backgrounds, cultures, and faiths to connect, exchange perspectives, and explore how theatre can open conversations, challenge assumptions, and build understanding.

This first gathering reflects the vision behind Jewish Life in Conversation: creating opportunities for meaningful dialogue and connection across communities, beginning with the next generation.

Details of future events are coming soon.

Jewish Life in Conversation is made possible through the generous financial support of the Jewish Federation of Greater Vancouver’s Combatting Antisemitism Fund and the Jewish Community Centre of Greater Vancouver.
