Fundamental Fitness For Youth

(Ages: 11-16)
Instructor: Rocio Kriwoy
Learn the basics of exercise in a fun, supportive environment. Start with movement fundamentals, then progress to utilizing various equipment in the fitness centre. Max 4 participants.

Fall schedule will be announced in August.

 

Teen Fitness Orientation

The minimum age to use the JCC Fitness Centre is 13 years old.

Teens 13-15 years:
Required to complete the Fitness Centre Orientation before using the Fitness Centre on their own.  The Teen Fitness Centre Orientation is free for Members.

Step 1: Read the Fitness Manual

Step 2: Achieve 80% or higher on Fitness Centre Quiz

Step 3: Complete a Parent Consent Form (to be submitted at your Practical Orientation)

Step 4: Email  fitness@jccgv.bc.ca to book your 30 minute Practical Orientation in the Fitness Centre.

The Practical Orientation provides the opportunity to review safety and use of the Fitness Centre equipment and to ask questions about any other equipment you may want to learn how to use.

Teens 16-18 years:
Can use the Fitness Centre solo with a completed Parent Consent Form (to be submitted to the Fitness Centre Staff).
