When her son disappears into addiction, a mother does what mothers do best: she loves harder, tries more, holds on longer. But love is not control and saving someone else can mean losing yourself, so as her son walks his own uncertain road towards recovery, she is forced to confront herself more deeply.
ELANA EPSTEIN is a wife and mother of three in our community. She is a yoga teacher, Reiki master and a recovery coach.
