Featuring three to six mixed-media sculptural pieces this exhibition is an exploration of complexity and resilience of the human spirit, this collection of work is raw and honest, playful and absurd. It invites the viewer into an insightful journey into complex issues of identity, strength, illness, memory, and who we become after hard things have happened. Far from dark and heavy though, the curious playfulness and strange contradictions emerging from these new Creatures become a disarming invitation to explore alongside me how to embody a body and a life that has been irreversibly affected by difficult experiences, and who we can become as we take steps into the rest of our lives.
