ASHLY HILL
Assistant Fitness Director,
BSc. Kinesiology & Psychology, Student of Osteopathy
Ashly graduated with a bachelor degree in Kinesiology and Psychology from SFU in 2016.and has worked as the Assistant Fitness Director at the JCC for 4 years. She holds a personal training certificate with the National Association of Sports Medicine with 15 years of experience. She studied general and sports nutrition and holds a Level 1 Nutrition Coaching certificate with Precision Nutrition. Throughout her career she was drawn to helping her clients live without injury or discomfort. Her one-of-a-kind sessions integrate the benefits of Psychology and Kinesiology with philosophy of an osteopathic approach. Adding to her extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology and biomechanics, Ashly is now in her second year of the Osteopathic program at the Canadian School of Osteopathic Manual Practice, Vancouver.

ANNE O’SULLIVAN

Anne originally worked in food security systems and taught English for 20 years before making the switch to health and fitness. She had always wanted to utilize her athletic dance background. In her youth she coached elementary school gymnastics, figure skating, and competed in rowing and track and field. Over the last 25 years she has had the opportunity to develop skills in physical theatre, Yoga and Capoeira. In 2015 she became a Registered Personal Trainer through BCRPA and since then has trained a wide spectrum of clients. She appreciates the skills she has gained to help others with a variety of movement disorders and has focused on acquiring specialties in Older Adult fitness, Osetofit, Dance for Parkinson’s, Happy Hearts, Hip and Knee post-rehab and Balance training.

CAMILA SANTOS

Camila’s career began with completing a degree of Physical Education in Brazil, in 2010. She found herself gravitating towards Pilates as she developed an appreciation for proper postural alignment, flexibility and core strength. She spent a year specializing in Pilates and in 2016 found herself in NYC completing the Aerial Pilates certification. Now having worked in the industry for 10 years she prides herself on her ability to work with a wide variety of clients. She incorporates her Pilates training into her client’s routines and finds herself working with individuals who are looking for a diversified program. Camila is well-versed in teaching a proper exercise form to achieve the best results while also focusing on injury prevention. If you work with Camila you will have the opportunity to try a variety of movements while using diverse of equipment.

CATHERINE D’AOUST
Personal Trainer, BSc. Kinesiology
Catherine worked as an Aeronautical Engineer for Transport Canada until 1997 (18 years). She then became a Certified Personal Trainer and set up her own company to empower women to achieve healthy lives and encourage their participation in outdoor recreation. Her adventure programs included hiking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, kayaking, and team building. Catherine has conducted Foam Rolling, Core, and Back and Body Ball approved workshops regularly to Massage Therapists and Personal Trainers across Canada. She has completed her degree in Kinesiology, with a minor in Gerontology, and is trained in C.H.E.K. core conditioning principles. She teaches Healthy Heart Cardiac Rehab classes for Vancouver General Hospital and acts as Personal Trainer for the City of Vancouver and Jewish Community Center. After 38 years in the fitness industry, she can help you live a better life.

THOMAS SCHRAPFF
Personal Trainer
Thomas began his fitness career in 2017 completing the ACE personal training certification, and started working as a personal trainer for clients of all ages and abilities. After a year, he decided to commit to his first bodybuilding competition in 2018 which was his long-time goal. It was a chance to learn more profoundly about the human body, and how it transforms through proper nutrition, training, and supplementation paired with a bodybuilding lifestyle. The competition in 2019 inspired him to further deepen his knowledge in strength training, bodybuilding/hypertrophy, functional training, and conditioning. He then completed his ISSA certification as a bodybuilding specialist and strength and conditioning coach. He trained in Reiki healing, and in 2021, he began a holistic nutrition diploma program and an orthopedic certification. If your goal is to experience fat loss while gaining muscle, improve overall strength, and gain holistic nutritional knowledge then Thomas is the trainer for you.

EVA GABAS
Aquatic Fitness Instructor
Eva has always been involved in sports and active living. She currently holds a Masters degree in Physical Education and Sports.
Throughout her professional experience, in Europe, the US, and in Canada, Eva was always drawn towards injury prevention and rehabilitation. She has always looked for ways to improve strength, balance, flexibility and agility without weights, and water was her solution!
She has 15 years of aquatics experience and completed her Aquatic Fitness Certification. She has worked with individuals: recovering from stroke, who had major joint injuries and replacements and are living with osteoporosis and arthritis. Eva has also created a unique in-water, full-body workout, with no equipment, focused on increasing strength, stamina, and coordination; known by our members as Aquatic Bootcamp.

LORENZO PANHLUA

Lorenzo originally started in the culinary industry and worked as a professional Chef for 16 years. Throughout his culinary career, he recognized that people are driven towards learning about healthy eating but weren’t as driven towards physical activity. He was pulled towards wanting to become that person who helps motivate and encourage others to not only eat healthy but to live a full healthy lifestyle; including being physically active. Lorenzo has helped individuals between the ages of 13 to 96. He currently holds a functional movement systems level 2 certificate which enables him to identify pain or limitations. He prides himself in being able to help train and educate older adults on healthy functional movement and balance. If you want to improve your mobility, flexibility, and balance, Lorenzo can assist you to achieve your goals.

MEGHAN O’CONNELL
Personal Trainer
In 2004, Meghan’s amateur boxing career culminated with a national Bronze medal. She retired shortly afterward and became a coach at the Astoria Boxing Club. That was when she realized her true passion in helping people blossom into their best selves through movement, and she transitioned into personal training.
Now her competency ranges from heavy strength training (she is now a national-level powerlifter, i.e. squat, bench, and deadlift) to working with older adults who have osteoporosis. She became an Osteofit evaluator in August 2020. Meghan has a keen eye for detail and takes the time to ensure that your programming is right for you. Her patience, along with many years of experience, ensures that she works with you safely on proper movement foundations, with less pain in your body, and more strength. She is firmly convinced that for the most part, we shape our own destinies. No matter where your body is now, she can help you create a future to look forward to.

ROCIO KRIWOY

Rocio was raised in Mexico City where she graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Journalism and Communication. She was a consistent gym goer all throughout her life until she became pregnant not once but twice with two beautiful children. She returned to the fitness industry with a newfound motivation toward her own postnatal health. With hard work, she lost 40 lbs and became inspired to be the motivation for others to do the same. Rocio first started as an aerobics instructor but now works as both an instructor and a personal trainer. After 18 years in the industry, she holds specialized certifications in older adults, yoga, indoor cycling, and functional weight training.

SASHA KLAHARN

I was born and raised in Thailand where I grew up playing all kinds of racquet sports. Strength training became a part of my life once I made the move to Vancouver in 2009. While in Thailand I became a certified rescue diver, so I spend most of my free time diving and saving lives in the sea. I like to stay active through weight training, hiking, cycling, and skiing.
