Rehearsal and show are part of the number of classes.

COSTUME FEES
Students in Full-year and Session B classes.
(charged at the time of registration):
Regular class: $95
Advanced/Progressive Jazz: $160 (2-3 costumes)
Company: $199 (3-4 costumes)
PERFORMANCE and VIDEO FEES
$59 (incl. 2 tickets and a digital download of the Year-End Shows / family). Payment will be processed in Spring 2026.
Advanced Jazz Dance Competition fee: $55/group, $100/solo.
Fees are payable in full at the time of registration, or payment plans must be in place. Spaces will not be held without a deposit.
Full-year session payments may be divided in 3-6 installments, through credit or debit card payment plan.
YEAR-END PERFORMANCES
Full-year and session B students will perform in Year-End show.
2 YEAR-END SHOW TICKETS PER FAMILY are included in the performance/video fee. Additional tickets will be sold one month before the shows.
COMMITMENT
Most of our courses require a full-year commitment, as the program is progressive.
ATTENDANCE
With exceptions for medical reasons, students who miss more than 2 classes in session A or B, or more than 4 classes in full-year session will be withdrawn from the course. No refund will be issued.
BEHAVIOUR CONSIDERATIONS
Students are expected to treat their peers with respect, to be on time and to wear appropriate clothing. Disruptive behaviour will result in dismissal without refund.
WITHDRAWALS AND CANCELLATIONS
Withdrawal for a refund: up to 4 business days before the program starts. 10% administrative charge will apply (min. $10).
Withdrawal from a course within 3 business days of start but no later than the second class: a 20% administrative fee (min. $20) will apply. A credit to the JCC will be offered, but NO REFUNDS.
No refunds, credits, or make-up classes after the second class or for missed sessions, except for full withdrawal with medical note. $12 charge will apply. Transfers are subject to space availability and instructor’s approval. $10 charge will apply.
Lessons cancelled by the instructor will be made up.
Scholarships are available through the generosity of the Paul and Marilyn Bild Endowment Fund and the Yosef Wosk Family Foundation Lyn Fox Jazz Dance and Music Award.

Dana is an arts administrator and musicologist with extensive international experience in arts management and education. Before becoming Director of the Dena Wosk School of Performing Arts in 1999, she worked for the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and the Tel-Aviv University. She is also a freelance writer, specializing in arts and culture.
Jana has enjoyed a career in film, TV and stage. She has danced alongside Michael Buble, Carmen Electra and taught Amanda Seyfried her dance moves for the feature film “Red Riding Hood”. She has danced in TV commercials for Microsoft, Telus Mobility, Energizer as well as on TV shows “Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies”, “Psych” and MOW, “The Good Bye Girl”. Jana has also performed for Princess Cruises, Royal Caribbean Cruise Line and Tokyo Disneyland. She has toured with the Canadian Concert Military Show Tour throughout Canada, Israel, Dubai, Egypt and Afghanistan. Jana loves teaching and looks forward to another great year.
Erica is a sought-after dancer and instructor. She started her training at age 3, and went on to direct the University of Victoria Dance Company. While completing her B.A. in Human and Social Development, she founded The Industry Dance Co and created ‘Therapy In Motion’, a dance program for people with special needs. Highlights of her dance career include: BC Lions’ ‘Felions’ dance team, The Canadian Video Game Awards, SVS Style Dance Crew, featured choreographer for BC Children’s Hospital ‘For Children We Care’.
Isabae’s passion for dance was influenced by her mother, a professional dancer herself. With training that includes ballet, pointe, contemporary, hip hop, musical theatre, lyrical and jazz, Isabae has developed a diverse skill set, as well as being a trained vocalist and actor. She proudly represented Team Canada and has been recognized as a top ten soloist at numerous conventions and competitions. After completing pre-professional programs, Isabae has been actively working in the Vancouver area.
Chan Smook has been a lover of dance since they started at the age of 5. Growing up in Alberta, Chan trained in every discipline offered at their studio and won a variety of scholarships in NYC and Vancouver, where they trained with several intensive companies. Chan has also had the opportunity to work within the TV and film industry and on music videos. Chan is a teacher of infectious energy and passion in sharing their love for dance with students. They are beyond excited to be joining the DWSPA faculty!
Samantha Krystal is an emerging artist who graduated from the dance training program, Modus Operandi. She also completed her degree in Microbiology and Immunology at UBC. She had the pleasure of working with Co.ERASGA, Clala Dance Project, Out Innerspace, Judith Marcuse, Chaos Emblematic, and Dr. Bob Pritchard. She is currently teaching dance in the lower mainland, making and selling paintings, and creating dance works with the collective, Okams Racer (Ana Sosa).
Originally from Lethbridge, AB, Jordan Sande trained as a competitive dancer in styles such as acro, tap, jazz, ballet, contemporary and hip hop . She furthered her dance career by moving to Vancouver to train in the Intensive Training Program at Harbour Dance Centre. With her strong love for the art of dance, Jordan is looking forward to sharing her knowledge and passion with each and every student!
Hadas has always had a passion for dance and has trained in jazz, ballet, musical theatre, contemporary, lyrical, and tap in the Dena Wosk School of Performing Arts. Coming full circle, she now teaches Israeli dance and facilitates the program as the Israeli Dance Artistic Coordinator. Entering her fifth year in the role, Hadas is excited to continue sharing the joy of Israeli dance with her students.
